Charcoal cooked venison burgers are the main entrée for the 48th year in a row.

TOMAHAWK, WI, November 11, 2013, – The Tomahawk Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 48th Annual Tomahawk Venison Feed will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013, in Downtown Tomahawk.

“The Venison Feed is my favorite event that the Chamber hosts, the event is a time-honored tradition for our community and our visitors who come back each year,” said Tamra Anderson, executive director for the Tomahawk Regional Chamber of Commerce, “this is our way of thanking hunters and other visitors to the area.”

The Venison Feed is a long-standing tradition in Tomahawk where the Chamber serves free venison burgers to welcome visitors and deer hunters to the area. More than one thousand people attend the event each year to kick off the gun hunting season.

“As part of the tradition we have local nonprofits selling local goods as a fundraiser for their organization”, Anderson added, “including the SOMO ATV Club, St. Mary’s School, Lincoln County Humane Society, the Salvation Army, Boy Scouts Pack 548 and students from Tomahawk High School who designed long sleeve T-shirts for the 48th Annual Venison feed that they will be selling alongside chili”

Serving of burgers begins at 11:30 a.m. until gone, generally 1:00 to 1:30.
