MADISON, Wis. —Summit Credit Union has named Nancy Schmidt its senior vice president – human resources and organizational development.

Schmidt has more than more than 15 years of experience in strategic leadership and the human resources industry. Prior to joining Summit, she was executive vice president at Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation, in Madison. Schmidt has also held leadership and human resources roles at QBE the Americas, Modern Business Technology, and Berbee Information Networks Corp. She also taught undergraduate and graduate accounting courses at Lakeland College – Madison Campus for seven years.

She holds a master of science in management and organizational behavior degree from Silver Lake College, Manitowoc, Wis., and a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Schmidt is a member of several industry organizations, including: the Society for Human Resource Management, International Association for Human Resource Information Management and the Institute of Management Accountants.

A Verona native, Schmidt lives in Madison with her husband and volunteers for the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in Madison.
