MADISON, Wis. — Identity theft wreaks havoc on millions of Americans each year. To help people learn how to avoid becoming victims, Summit Credit Union is hosting a free educational seminar, “Identity Theft… Who’s Got Your Number?” on Wed., Nov. 13, from noon to 1 p.m.

Held at the Wisconsin Trade Center, in the JP Morgan Conference Room, located at 8401 Greenway Blvd., in Middleton, the seminar will teach participants:

What makes them vulnerable for identity theft
How to protect themselves from fraud
How to spot phishing phone calls and e-mails
What to do if their identity is stolen
How to protect their identity online, as well as those of their minor children

The seminar is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
