Madison, Wis. (September 30, 2013) – Stevens Construction Corp., one of the largest General Contractors in Wisconsin, has started working on one of the most expansive multi-family construction projects ever built in downtown Madison.

The Domain, Stevens’ newest multi-family project, is located at the corner of Johnson, Dayton and Broom Streets just west of the Capital square. The luxury apartment complex replaces the existing Dayton Square Apartments with upscale apartment options that are distinctly urban and modern. Consisting of over 440,000 gross square feet of concrete structure and 326 individual apartment units, this building will be a site to behold. Delivered in two phases, the first phase is a 6-story building, followed by a 12-story which includes two and one-half levels of underground parking. Exterior facade is a combination of brick and metal panels. The Domain will offer residents a variety of amenities including an exterior terrace, lobby café, swimming pool, club room, fitness center and tanning beds. Originally envisioned by local developer Dave Shutz, the project was designed by Potter Lawson, Inc. of Madison and is the second, large project Stevens has built for Fiduciary Real Estate Development of Milwaukee. Phase one will be ready for occupancy by August 1, 2014 and phase two by April 1, 2015.

Quote: “Every square foot of structure for the parking levels and two building towers is poured in place concrete. Doing this kind of work is our specialty. It really highlights our competitive advantages.” Geoffrey Vine, President.
