SARA alerting system and CATIE multimedia and self-service portal
to be implemented at Lighthouse Communities
CHARLOTTE, N.C., ALFA 2013 Conference & Expo, Booth 715, May 8, 2013 — Status Solutions today announced that New Perspective Senior Living Lighthouse Communities will deploy its SARA situational awareness solution at a community in Wisconsin, while entering into a corporate agreement to implement the CATIE technology across all applicable New Perspective communities.
SARA (Situational Awareness and Response Assistant) will provide emergency alerting and response management at the new Lighthouse of Sun Prairie community in Wisconsin. SARA unifies alarm and communication system so detailed alerts reach caregivers via the designated devices, in this case wireless handsets. The automated alerting engine will be used to integrate nurse call, mobile duress, access control and fire panels to increase situational awareness and enhance response in the event of emergencies.
The CATIE (Communication and Access to Information Everywhere) multimedia and self-service portal will be implemented across New Perspective’s communities over time. CATIE functions as an intercom, message center, electronic bulletin board and concierge, giving residents of senior living communities convenient access to amenities and relevant content while owner/operators improve service delivery and streamline operations. In addition to providing assisted living residents with an in-room CATIE kiosk, New Perspective hopes to use the technology for brain fitness with residents in assisted living and memory care.
CATIE also connects senior living communities and business, both local and national, for convenient access to information and services. From digital signage on CATIE’s main screen to interactive listings in a service directory, the Green Pages program creates a new marketplace with a percentage of advertising/sponsorship revenue going back to the owner/operator to offset the technology’s cost.
