ST. NORBERT COLLEGE RANKED AS ONE OF
“THE BEST IN THE MIDWEST” BY THE PRINCETON REVIEW
DE PERE, WIS.: The Princeton Review has released its 2014 online profiles of the best colleges and universities in the nation and, once again, the magazine reports that St. Norbert College is one of the best colleges and universities in the Midwest. The school is among those receiving the Best in the Midwest designation.
According to the Princeton Review the schools ranked were chosen primarily for their academic excellence. The publication also worked to have a roster of “regional best” colleges that featured a range of institutions by size, selectivity, character and locale. The schools were selected based on institutional data collected from several hundred schools in each region; visits to schools over the years; and the opinions of independent and high school-based college advisors invited to make recommendations. Princeton Review also takes into account what students at each school report to them about their campus experiences.
The Princeton Review divides the country into four regions and identifies 644 colleges nationally, 155 of them being in the Midwest, that they feel stand out as academically excellent institutions of higher learning. The 643 colleges named “regional best(s)” represent only about 25 percent (one out of four) of the nation’s 2,500 four-year colleges.
