O’CONNOR STARTS STRATEGY AND COMMUNICATIONS COMPANY IN GREEN BAY

DE PERE, WIS.: Bridget Krage O’Connor, a 1993 graduate and previous vice president of St. Norbert College, has founded her own company, O’Connor Connective, LLC.

Based in Green Bay, Wis., O’Connor Connective combines strategic planning and marketing communications to help organizations meet their revenue and growth objectives.

O’Connor brings over 20 years of communications and strategic planning experience to her business. She spent eleven years at St. Norbert College, seven of those years as vice president of enrollment management and communications. Beginning this July, she transitions from her vice president role but remains engaged with St. Norbert College as a senior advisor to the president on strategic initiatives.

While at St. Norbert, O’Connor led the creation of an agency-like model for the college’s marketing communications structure. Through this approach, St. Norbert College shares its story with broad external audiences that include alumni, prospective students, donors, the media and the general public. The college’s communications team works on all aspects of media relations, advertising, web and social media, and general communications.

In addition, O’Connor was responsible for short-and long-term strategic planning related to St. Norbert College’s enrollment. Under her leadership, enrollment grew 8 percent while the student body academic profile and diversity also improved. In 2011, she helped lead the visioning and renovation of the new Ariens Family Welcome Center that combines the college’s admission and communications operations under one roof.

Bridget is a regular speaker at conferences and events associated with enhancing awareness and the reputations of local institutions and organizations. She has led a variety of non-profits through brand-building and strategic planning sessions. In addition, she’s presented on women and leadership issues at Management Women, the St. Norbert College Women’s Enrichment Series and Mid-Day Women’s Alliance of Appleton. In August, Bridget will bring her experience and messages around leadership to girls and women of all ages, in cooperation with the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes.

Bridget is on the executive board of the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay, the executive board of Better By the Bay, the NEW North marketing committee and the Green Bay Area Catholic Schools (GRACE) marketing task force. Past board service includes the Green Bay Botanical Garden and Scholarships, Inc.
