St. Norbert College: Green Bay Packers director of player development to speak at St. Norbert College

DE PERE, WIS.: Twelve-year NFL veteran Rob Davis, director of player development for the Green Bay Packers, will speak at St. Norbert College’s Walter Theatre, in the Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts, on Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Davis’ talk will focus on the following topics:

* Personal experiences going from a NCAA Division II athlete to pro football player and beyond.

* How being a student-athlete can present opportunities and obstacles.

* Similarities and differences Davis sees between student-athletes and professional players.

* The impact off-the-field choices can have on athletic, academic and professional performance.

As the director of player development for the Packers, Davis is vital in maintaining locker-room cohesiveness and overall player health. He assists players in acclimating to their roles, both on and off the field and in the Green Bay community.

Davis’ talk is presented by the prevention and wellness-education work group of Mission & Student Affairs at St. Norbert.
