De Pere, Wis.: St. Norbert College’s Career Services received a $150,000 grant from Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation. The award was part of $2.5 million in Career-Ready Internship Initiative grants to 19 Wisconsin colleges and universities.
St. Norbert College will create new paid internships and convert existing unpaid internships into paid internships for juniors and seniors by working closely with businesses throughout the area.
The Career Ready Internship Initiative grants give students real-world experience in their field of study, payment to make ends meet during the internship, and a better chance at competing in the job market after graduation.
