Susan Thomson, CEO of ActionCoach Madison to head SMBA for 2013-2014 year
Susan Thomson, CEO of ActionCoach Madison, has been elected president of South Metropolitan
Business Association (SMBA), a local business group with more than 100 business members.
SMBA’s mission is to promote and improve the business environment in the Cities of Madison and
Fitchburg and the Town of Madison by encouraging well planned, high quality and balanced commercial
and residential development and economic growth. SMBA provides opportunities for networking,
information, and community involvement.
Thomson was elected president of the SMBA Board at the annual meeting on June 20, 2013. Thomson
purchased ActionCOACH in 2007, and has been an SMBA member since 2007 as well.
“I am truly honored and very excited that the SMBA Board has provided me this opportunity,” Thomson
said. “I’m looking forward to working with the SMBA members and leadership team to help the
organization reach its goals of furthering economic development on the South side, and build strong
business relationships amongst members.”
