Second Harvest Foodbank: Credit unions collect donations to end hunger in southwestern Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis., October 30, 2013 – To help area families who struggle to have enough to eat while still meeting their other basic needs, Madison Area Chapter of Credit Unions will accept cash or check donations during the sixth annual End Hunger at a Credit Union. This event, which is part of the 18th annual NBC15 Share Your Holidays campaign, runs from October 28 – December 31 at participating credit union locations. Donations can be made in any amount through lobby or drive-up service. Select locations also offer online donations. Each $1 donated can provide 3 meals. Checks should be made payable to Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.

About NBC15 Share Your Holidays to eliminate hunger
In its 18th year, the NBC15 Share Your Holidays to eliminate hunger campaign is the largest food/fund drive to help families and individuals facing hunger in southwestern Wisconsin, raising 23.67 million meals to date.
