MADISON, Wis. (September 3, 2013)—With donations gathered at a Buckingham’s UW football tailgate party, ROUGH Sportswear has donated $1,000 to the County Boys & Girls Club of Dane County. The tailgate for the Badgers was the first of seven fundraisers for area nonprofits. Tailgaters enjoyed a performance by the BGC’s Black Star Drum Line, entertainment from WJJO Radio, and an appearance from former UW football standout Al Toon. “We raised more than $450 in cash. ROUGH rounded that amount up to $1,000,” stated ROUGH CEO Trent Jackson. “We hope to do this for every home game tailgate at Buckingham’s—raise money and host a great party!”

The Wisconsin chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is the next non-profit to benefit from the UW football tailgate at Buckingham’s Madison Bar and Grill, 802 Regent St., Madison, WI. Organized by ROUGH, the fundraiser takes place Saturday, September 7, before the Badgers take on Tennessee Tech.

“We’re raising money and awareness,” said Jackson. “We reached out to non-profits that hit home to ROUGH employees and the guys at Buckingham’s. We think these tailgates will touch a lot of Badger fans too and inspire them to give back to the community.” Other non-profit organizations benefitting from the tailgates include Alzheimer’s Alliance, Dane County Humane Society, Porchlight –Madison’s homeless solutions, and American Parkinson’s Disease Association —Wisconsin. Buckingham’s 2013 tailgate fundraisers are made possible by support from Sara Investment Real Estate, WJJO Radio, and Frank Beer Distributors.
