ROAD AMERICA PARTNERS WITH LAKE MICHIGAN’S S.S. BADGER CARFERRY OFFERING EXCLUSIVE TRAVEL PACKAGES FOR RACE FANS

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., (May 2, 2013) – Road America announced today a special partnership with the S.S. Badger, the largest carferry on Lake Michigan, offering race fans a convenient and affordable travel option to take a shortcut across the water from Michigan and enjoy events at America’s National Park of Speed!

The S.S. Badger provides ferry service from Ludington, Mich., to Manitowoc, Wis., allowing for a short drive out to Road America. The S.S. Badger carferry celebrates her 60th Anniversary in 2013 and is also listed on the national registry of historic places. She has transported over 2,500,000 passengers since her re-birth in 1992 and can accommodate 600 passengers and 180 vehicles – including RVs, motorcycles, commercial loads and motor coaches.
