Riley Construction: To sponsor Shalom Golf Outing fundraiser

KENOSHA, Wis. – (May 1, 2013) – Riley Construction and Johnson Bank have teamed up to sponsor the fourth annual Shalom Center Golf Outing to be held on Friday, August 9 at Maplecrest Country Club in Kenosha. The outing is a fundraising event to support the center’s many offerings to those in need in Kenosha County.

Shalom Center works to ensure that every person living in Kenosha County that is in need has access to safe shelter, food, education and support services to assist them in reaching their ultimate goal of self-sufficiency. It provides emergency family shelter 365 days per year, averaging 50 families with children per year. In addition, Shalom Center is an overnight shelter for homeless individuals and families averaging 700 clients per year, as well as a volunteer-staffed food pantry providing an average of 850 households with supplemental food provisions every month. It also acts as a volunteer-staffed soup kitchen providing a hot meal to approximately 90 hungry men, women and children every evening, 365 days per year.
