Sean Scullen Appointed as National Chair of Labor & Employment Practice Group
MILWAUKEE, WIS (October 16, 2013) – The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Sean Scullen, who practices in the firm’s Milwaukee office, has been appointed national chair of the Labor & Employment Practice Group.
Scullen’s practice focuses on providing counsel and litigation representation to private and public sector employers in all areas of labor and employment law. He has successfully represented clients in defense of discrimination, whistleblower and harassment claims in state and federal courts and administrative agencies around the country. Additionally, he regularly represents clients in the prosecution and defense of claims involving enforcement of employee non-competition and confidentiality agreements and related unfair competition matters.
Scullen also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Class Action Subgroup and has been lead counsel in numerous FLSA collective and state wage-and-hour class actions involving issues such as challenges to employees’ exemption status, claims of failure to properly compensate breaks, improper rounding claims and other minimum wage and overtime issues.
Scullen graduated from University of Wisconsin Law School in 1999 (J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif) and from Santa Clara University in 1994 (B.S., magna cum laude, Honors Program, Phi Beta Kappa). He also holds a Certificate of Executive Management from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business.
