Growth has led agency to expand team and refine methodology

MILWAUKEE – Primum Marketing Communications recently added three new employees

to its team and is pleased to welcome assistant account executive Jessica Hurd, content specialist Karisa

Langlo and operations manager Ellen McLean. These newly added positions support the company’s rapid

growth.

“We expect to continue growing our staff, revenues and client base,” said Colin Hutt, president of Primum.

“We are seeing increasing demand for our virtual chief marketing officer programs, content marketing

offerings and public relations.”

Primum’s virtual CMO program, launched to fill a void in the marketplace, has seen a positive response from

clients. The three new roles were created to increase support for clients using the CMO program along with

ongoing marketing campaigns.

Hurd, a native of Wausau, Wis, brings marketing expertise and experience to Primum after working

as marketing director for Ozaukee Country Club and assistant account executive for DBA Marketing

Communications. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications at the University of Wisconsin-
Eau Claire, where she participated in the Public Relations Student Society of America. With interests in

yoga, running and cooking, Hurd was especially attracted to Primum’s reputation as one of Milwaukee’s

healthiest employers.

“I am excited to contribute to Primum’s successful marketing and communications efforts while building

meaningful relationships with clients,” Hurd said. “Primum’s dynamic, creative and team-oriented

atmosphere was a big draw for me.”

In Langlo’s role as content specialist, she will use her education in Writing Intensive English at Marquette

University and her professional experience as a content writer at Zywave Inc., and as an editor for Prime

Publishing in Northbrook, Ill. Her varied experience will help her create industry-leading marketing collateral

for Primum’s extensive roster of clients. Langlo, a two-time National Novel Writing Month participant, spends

much of her free time writing, too.

“Working as content specialist will allow me to strengthen my marketing writing skills,” Langlo said. “I’m

excited to help our clients tell their stories creatively.”

McLean wears many hats in her new role, which involves keeping Primum’s everyday operations running

smoothly. Formerly, McLean worked in a similar role in global client services at Global Forex Trading in

Michigan. McLean majored in English and minored in Music at Hillsdale College in Michigan, where she

shared her love of music by playing piano at various assisted living centers and volunteering for the St.

Cecilia Musical Society.

“I was attracted to the high standard that Primum holds itself to in the quality of their work and commitment

to community involvement,” McLean said. “I look forward to contributing to Primum’s top-notch customer

service.”

These positions were created to better serve Primum’s burgeoning client base. Expansion will allow the

agency to continue to uphold its history of high quality content marketing and PR for their B2B clients while

looking ahead to a creative, innovative future.
