Oakwood Foundation adds local community leaders Eric Halverson,
Gary Steinhauer and Ted Straus
MADISON, Wis. – (July 17, 2013) – The Oakwood Foundation recently added three community leaders to its board: Eric Halverson, Sales Representative with Masland Contract Carpet and Rugs, Gary Steinhauer, Retired Executive with Madison Dairy, and Ted Straus, Executive Vice President with Suttle-Straus.
Eric Halverson brings energy and action through his extensive sales experience. His strong community connections make him a great fit with the Foundation’s goals. Halverson is a founding member of Bergamont golf community and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
The grandson of one of Oakwood’s founders, Gary Steinhauer, brings years of experience pioneering the dairy industry in Wisconsin. The leadership skills he honed during his years in business will be an asset to the Oakwood Foundation. Steinhauer is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Ted Straus brings a strong ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement. This has helped his company earn “Best Workplace in America” awards for many years and is clearly aligned with the Oakwood Foundation’s mission. Straus is a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Oakwood Village University Woods adds new Board Member, Karl Marquardt
The Oakwood Village University Woods Board also added a new member to its board: Karl Marquardt, retired attorney and pharmacist.
As an active member of the community for many years, Karl brings a strong connection to the area and experience leading and serving on other boards such as Meriter Retirement Services, American Society for Pharmacy Law and the Bethel Lutheran Church Council.
