New North to host annual New North Summit in Green Bay this Friday, December 6
NEW NORTH, December 4, 2013 – New North, Inc., the regional economic development and marketing organization of Northeast Wisconsin, is partnering with businesses from across the area and state in supporting networking and job growth education at the upcoming New North Summit 2013. This Friday, December 6, New North will host the New North Summit 2013, a full-day event for business executives, education leaders and community members focused on networking and innovation, to be held at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Green Bay.
Sponsored by BMO Harris, the New North Summit is an annual event hosted by New North, Inc., which represents the 18-county region of Northeast Wisconsin, also known as the New North region. In its 10th year, the Summit offers opportunities for businesses and attendees to network, to gain insight on economic development work in the region and the state, and to hear from business leaders on best practices for businesses of all sizes. Over 600 attendees are expected at this year’s event, themed ‘New North Live!’, which will feature insightful speakers and presentations on innovative best practices for processes, products and people.
The agenda for the day features Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker; keynote speaker Ed Gordon, author of Future Jobs: Solving the Employment & Skills Crisis; panelists sharing success stories of closing the skills gap; and DWD Secretary Reggie Newson to discuss new workforce initiatives, including Wisconsin Fast Forward. New North, Inc., also will present an annual overview and goals for the coming year.
