Firm grows to meet client needs
Milwaukee, WI (November 20, 2013) – At a time when many law firms are slowing growth or even shrinking, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP today announced plans to acquire the Vantus Law Group based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Vantus addition will add eight new attorneys with a highly respected regional practice in a growing and dynamic market to the Michael Best team.

Michael Best has targeted Utah as a key market for its core focus on protecting and developing the intangible assets of operating and growth technology companies and for serving the firm’s client base in western markets. Earlier this year, Michael Best initiated its presence in Salt Lake when one of the firm’s Midwest-based attorneys relocated to Utah to better serve a large technology development and commercialization client. The addition of the Vantus attorneys significantly expands the presence and depth of Michael Best in Utah and the western United States.
The Vantus addition follows the opening of a new Michael Best office in Washington, D.C. last summer and the addition of 4 new partners, 16 new attorneys and six patent engineers and patent scientists in the firm’s Milwaukee and Madison, WI and Chicago offices over the past several months.
Vantus will officially join with Michael Best on January 1, 2014.
