Madison, WI (August 22, 2013) – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce Angela A. James joins the firm as Senior Counsel in the Environmental Practice Group and the Energy and Sustainability Industry Team effective August 19, 2013. James is located in the firm’s Madison office.

“Angela’s skill and knowledge are ideal additions to our environmental and energy practices as we further expand our capability to serve clients in those areas,” explained Linda Bochert, Environmental Practice Group Partner, on James’ arrival. “Her industry knowledge and background add depth and breadth to our experienced team.”

James has worked on matters related to industrial regulatory compliance, air and water permitting, water quality trading, utility ratemaking, and energy regulation. Prior to joining Michael Best, she was a Senior Associate at Stafford Rosenbaum LLP from 2000-2004 and a Corporate Attorney from 2004-2012 at Madison Gas and Electric Company. From 2012–2013 she was the Vice President of Government Relations with the Wisconsin Paper Council.

James received her B.S. from University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1995, her M.S from University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2000 and earned her J.D. in the same year from University of Wisconsin Law School.
