Milwaukee – Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce the following associates have been elected to the firm’s partnership.

Milwaukee Office-
Sarah N. Ehrhardt is a partner in the Wealth Planning Practice Group. Ehrhardt focuses on all aspects of estate and business succession planning, including the preparation and implementation of all estate planning documents, special needs trusts, marital property planning, charitable planning, structuring of partnerships and limited liability companies, and probate and trust administration.

Melanie J. Reichenberger is a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group, where she focuses primarily on patent litigation. She also has experience with litigation related to trademarks, trade dress, unfair competition, false advertising, and trade secrets. Ms. Reichenberger helps clients of all sizes evaluate and manage intellectual property risks and assets. She works with clients to develop strategies for resolving intellectual property disputes both inside and outside of the courtroom.

Madison Office-

Daniel A. O’Callaghan is a partner in the Land & Resources Practice Group, focusing his practice in the areas of transactional real estate, real estate development, land use, and zoning law. O’Callaghan has a broad range of experience, including assisting clients with the purchase and sale of real estate, drafting condominium documents, reviewing leases, negotiating development agreements, securing municipal approvals, and handling zoning appeals. He also advises municipal governments on various aspects of planning and zoning law and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Chicago Office-
Todd S. Hofmeister, Ph.D., is a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group, handling patent prosecution matters relating to the life sciences and biotechnology industries. Dr. Hofmeister works with clients of all sizes including universities, Fortune 500 corporations, and emerging companies to build and manage patent portfolios, monitor competitor patents and products, and provide advice on potential infringement risks and claims. He also has a broad range of experience relating to drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of genomics, proteomics, agricultural products, plants, and specialty polymers and resins.
