MICHAEL BEST ATTORNEY ELECTED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR GREATER MADISON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Madison, WI (April 18, 2013) – Mary C. Turke, Managing Partner of the Madison office of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP (Michael Best), has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce.
With 17 years of legal experience, Turke works closely with clients to achieve their business objectives in avoiding, settling and winning commercial disputes. Her representative work is wide-ranging and includes contractual disputes, licensing issues, non-compete cases, commercial construction cases, shareholder and business partner disputes and family trust disputes, to name a few. Turke has extensive experience in the creditors’ rights arena, where she counsels clients on secured transactions, loan refinancing and forbearance agreements and has handled large commercial foreclosures, receiverships and protected creditors’ rights in bankruptcy proceedings.
In addition to Turke’s role as Managing Partner of the Madison office and new board position with the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, she is a Director for Summit Credit Union, and Board Member of the Madison Children’s Museum and Chair of its Audit Committee. Turke is a member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin Walk for Wishes planning committee, TEMPO, State Bar of Wisconsin and American Bar Association. Turke also volunteers as a coach for Girls on the Run of Dane County.
