Pennsylvania Plant Certified by BRC, ISO
NEENAH, Wis. (July 31, 2013) – Menasha Packaging announces that its Yukon Plant, located in Ruffs Dale, Penn., has received certifications from two global product safety and quality standardization programs.
After a comprehensive onsite audit, the Yukon Plant achieved an “A” grade certification from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials. This is the first year the plant, which is a part of Menasha Packaging’s Western Pennsylvania Complex, has been recognized by the BRC.
In addition, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has recertified the Yukon Plant for Quality Management Systems. This is the sixth consecutive year the plant received ISO 9001:2008 certification.
“These certifications show we are committed to always improving,” said Deborah Long, Quality Manager for Menasha Packaging’s Western Pennsylvania Complex. “They also provide our customers peace of mind in the products we are supplying.”
The BRC Global Standards are highly regarded and widely used by suppliers and retailers worldwide since they aid in standardizing quality, product safety, operational criteria and manufacturers’ fulfillment of legal obligations. Its Packaging and Packaging Materials standard is also a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized scheme.
The ISO is the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards and aims to make industry more efficient and effective. The ISO provides cutting-edge specifications for products and services, along with best practices.
