The following is a statement by Paul Jadin, president of the Madison Region Economic Partnership (MadREP), regarding the announcement that Xconomy, a national web-based news service focused on the life science and technology industries, has opened a Wisconsin news bureau with a reporter dedicated solely to covering those industries here. Xconomy has established bureaus in other life science and technology clusters, including Boston, San Diego and San Francisco.
“We are delighted to welcome Xconomy to Wisconsin and the Madison Region. Xconomy’s decision to open a bureau here is another indication of the vibrancy of our life science and technology industries. Xconomy recognizes there are a lot of interesting and important stories to tell about companies in those industries in the Madison Region. We were pleased to support the establishment of Xconomy’s presence here and look forward to a long, productive relationship with them.”
