The following is a statement by Paul Jadin, President of the Madison Region Economic Partnership, regarding today’s announcement of the BrightStar Wisconsin Foundation, a groundbreaking philanthropic approach to supporting job creation and economic growth statewide through investment in early-stage companies.

“I am very pleased that these leaders are taking such an innovative approach to one of our most important economic development challenges: capital formation. We hope this approach expands the pool of individuals and organizations willing to invest in early-stage companies, as they drive economic growth and create high-paying jobs. We look forward to supporting the efforts of BrightStar Wisconsin in the Madison Region and applaud its co-founder Mark Burish of Madison for his commitment to Wisconsin’s economic well being.”
