A second line of showers put an end to any hopes of racing at Madison International Speedway tonight. The Big 8 Late Models, SCAG Midwest Trucks, and IMCA Vintage Cars were set to do battle as part of Salute to America Night that was to feature Thunder Cat Fireworks.
“It’s disappointing,” said MIS General Manager Dave Grueneberg. “This was going to be a great show, but with the rain we had earlier in the week, two waves today, and what appears to be more on the horizon we were up against too many obstacles.”
