Bike sharing expands to in high-demand area
Madison, WI—Madison B-cycle is excited to announce a new B-cycle station will be installed on the north end of Hilldale Shopping Center. The ribbon cutting and press event welcoming the station to the area will take place at noon on Wednesday, October 9th.
Hilldale Mall is sponsoring the new station that will be the westernmost B-cycle site in Madison. Madison B-cycle currently has 34 stations and 350 bikes, the majority of which are located in the downtown isthmus area. The new Hilldale station comes highly requested by users of the program reports Madison B-cycle Manager, Claire Hurley. “By far, our highest-requested location for a new station has been at Hilldale. Madison B-cycle couldn’t me more excited about providing this transportation option to Hilldale shoppers, residents, and employees.”
Leslie Watkins, Hilldale Shopping Center’s Marketing Manager agrees, adding, “Why wouldn’t we want to have a Madison B-cycle station at Hilldale? It’s a great program and a great amenity for our customers and neighbors. We couldn’t possibly not be a part of something so cool as the City’s bike share program!”
A public event will be held at the site of the new B-cycle station on the north end of Hilldale Mall at noon on Wednesday, October 9th. Stores at Hilldale including Lululemon Athletica will host welcoming snacks and specials at their stores on the day of the 9th.
