Blue Mounds, WI – JG Development, Inc., a local team of residential design and building professionals, has been named award winner of the Residential Interior Under $100,000 category in the 2013 Contractor of the Year (CotY) annual awards competition by the Madison Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).
In addition, both Jeff Grundahl, President of JG Development, and Michelle Milestone, Director of Marketing, received 2013 NARI of Madison Achievement Awards. Grundahl was the recipient of the Image Award, which honors an individual who has contributed to the enhancement of the remodeling industry’s image. Milestone was the recipient of the Employee of the Year award, which recognizes an employee of a NARI Member company whose talent, dedication, enthusiasm and teamwork has helped their company prosper.
NARI subcontractors who completed work on nominated projects were also recognized. JG Development’s team members in its award-winning Residential Interior Under $100,000 project include Dave Jones, Inc., Nonn’s Design Showplace, ProBuild of Middleton and Rockweiler Insulation. Each of these subcontractors were honored for their work.
Judging for local awards took place in Milwaukee in mid-October. An impartial panel of judges who are experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant’s nomination and credentials. Winners were announced at the 2013 Celebrating Excellence Awards event in Madison on November 8, 2013. The Celebrating Excellence Awards Evening is widely considered to be the premier event of the year in the remodeling industry. The event was attended by more than 160 of the industry’s elite professionals.

About the Contractor of the Year Awards (CotY):
Contractors from the Madison area vie for CotY Awards on an annual basis. All projects submitted for judging were an improvement or an addition to an existing structure. New construction projects were not eligible. In addition, competing projects were completed between July 1, 2011 and October 4, 2013. An impartial panel of judges who are experts within the industry and associated fields selected winners based on each entrant’s “before and after” photography and project description, problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
