Chicago – Integrys Energy Group Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Charlie Schrock, today presented the opening, keynote address for the Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI) National Key Accounts Workshop at the Sheraton Chicago Hotels & Towers. Schrock’s presentation examined challenges and opportunities facing the energy industry, factors driving changes in the industry, and a shift in the make-up of energy generation.

Addressing more than 600 attendees, Schrock commented on aging infrastructure and the need for modernization, impacts of shale gas, and system reliability.

“Our nonregulated business, Integrys Energy Services has been serving customers since 1994, and we understand that in the changing energy market securing energy is about more than selecting the right product. It’s also about the right buying strategy and timing.” said Schrock.

EEI delegates in attendance help to make energy decisions for their respective organizations, including retail, supermarket, restaurant, lodging, convenience store national chains, healthcare industry, financial institutions and the federal government.

The organization’s National Accounts Workshop is the premier venue that provides integrated forums for exchanging ideas among electric and gas companies and their valued multi-sited energy users.
