GREEN BAY AND MILWAUKEE, WIS. (Nov. 25, 2013) — Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce the addition of 10 new attorney associates to the firm’s Banking & Financial Institutions, Corporate, Environment & Energy Strategies, Estate Planning, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Real Estate and Securities Practice Groups.

Richard A. Bartolomei II has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. Bartolomei earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law where he served as a law clerk for the Johnson County, Iowa state public defender. Prior to law school, he worked in the office of the Governor of Ohio, in the administration of Governor Ted Strickland, as a deputy director of Boards and Commissions. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago.

Jay K. Creagh has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. Creagh earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota law School where he was note & comment editor for the Minnesota Law Review. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Kelley Schacht Daugherty has joined the firm’s Estate Planning Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she served as senior managing editor for the Wisconsin Law Review and worked as a student attorney in the Frank J. Remington Center’s Legal Assistance to Institutionalized Persons Project. She received her bachelor’s degree, with high honors, from Michigan State University.

Shane Delsman has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Delsman was an associate at a Chicago law firm.

Nathan G. Hurlbut has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in the Green Bay office. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he worked with the University of Wisconsin Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic providing legal services to small business entities and entrepreneurs. He received his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from St. Norbert College.

Kristin A. Irgens has joined the firm’s Securities Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she worked as a student attorney for the University of Wisconsin Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic. Irgens was also a judicial intern in the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the chambers of Justice David T. Prosser. She received her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from DePauw University in Indiana.

Jamie L. Konopacky has joined the firm’s Environment & Energy Strategies Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and received her bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Prior to joining the firm, Konopacky worked as a federal judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She also worked for Ford Motor Company and Clean Wisconsin, Inc.

Matthew J. Ludden has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Marquette University, where he was an associate editor for the Marquette Law Review and editor for the Marquette Sports Law Review. He received his bachelor’s degree, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

E. Carolina Rodriguez-Alfaro has joined the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University, where she volunteered at the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic conducting research for cases that involved custody, divorce, Social Security and employment issues. She also served as a judicial intern to Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Rodriguez-Alfaro received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Melissa M. York has joined the firm’s Banking & Financial Institutions Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law, where she was a law clerk for the Calumet County Circuit Court. She also interned with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board in Washington, D.C. York received her Master of Laws degree, cum laude, in international and comparative law from Duke University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, with distinction, from the University of Minnesota.
