Bank of Chicago Downpayment Plus Program
Neenah, Wis. (March 13, 2013) – FNB Fox Valley, a privately held community bank, is pleased to announce its participation in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBC) Downpayment Plus Program (DPP). The program provides funding assistance to homebuyers in the form of a grant up to $6,000 per household that can be used as part of their down payment, closing costs and escrow deposits. The grant is further capped at 25 percent of the loan amount.

To qualify, homebuyers must have an annual household income at or below 80 percent of the area’s median income, based on the size of the family, per the DPP Income Calculation Guide. Homebuyers must also contribute a minimum of $1,000 from personal funds towards the purchase of the home.

All borrowers are considered homebuyers and must complete a homebuyer counseling program prior to receiving grant funds.

According to FNB Fox Valley Vice President – Mortgage, Karri Bedor, borrowers who qualify experience lower monthly mortgage payments and better mortgage insurance rates, making their homes more affordable.

“We are excited to help borrowers with programs like Dowpayment Plus because there is a true benefit for them,” said Bedor.

The DPP will run through Dec. 31, 2013, or until funds are available. For more information about the program or to apply for DPP funds, please visit: www.fnbfoxvalley.com or www.wphd-dpp.org.
