Innovation and entrepreneurship have always been present in Fond du Lac County and the region. In May 2013, a new peer network, the Inventors and Entrepreneurs (I&E) Club, was created to bring people together to imagine more possibilities, opportunities and connections for area inventors, entrepreneurs or small business owners.

The I&E Club, which meets monthly, now has a new name that better reflects the core essence of this peer network – Imagination Network of Wisconsin. Meeting attendees submitted and voted for their top names with the winning name officially announced at the August 13th meeting. Imagination Network is an organized yet informal way to get inventors, entrepreneurs and like-minded individuals connected. At each meeting, people can learn from peers and other resources in a fun and supportive environment. People can tap into a vast network of resources and tips not only from entrepreneur support organizations but also from one another. Imagination Network is free and open to everyone including aspiring and current entrepreneurs and inventors; current small business owners; retired or former business owners; manufacturing reps; investors; and entrepreneur support organizations in the Fond du Lac County area, surrounding counties and beyond.

Imagination Network meets every second Tuesday of each month at the Fond du Lac Elks Lodge, 33 Sheboygan Street, Fond du Lac. Registration and mingling begins at 5:00 p.m. The meeting with speakers commences at 6 p.m. Introductions and networking follow at 7:00 p.m.

At the September 10th meeting, learn how to use social media marketing to grow your business, whether you’re just starting a business or have been in business for awhile. Shelly Cedarblade from Woo! Social Media Marketing will share how to optimize your Facebook presence for maximum results, blogging tips, and more.
