Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. today announced that Steve Laabs, member of the Corporate Law Team, has been selected by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of its Up and Coming Lawyers for 2013. This award honors attorneys who have demonstrated leadership, contributed to their community and successfully achieved legal outcomes early in their career.
Steve regularly counsels clients on a variety of general business, corporate, commercial finance and real estate transactions. He also provides counsel to secured creditors in commercial litigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, state court receivership and other insolvency matters, in addition to other general business matters including start-ups, choice of entity selection, corporate governance and equity owner relations.
Laabs received his J.D., cum laude from Marquette University Law School and his B.S., cum laude from Marquette University. He also serves on the Board Development Committee for the St. Thomas More High School Alumni Association, is a member of the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association (MYLA), and organizes networking functions for the South Suburban Chamber of Commerce.
