Barktoberfest: October Is Going To the Dogs
Local Barktoberfest celebration will raise money and awareness for service dogs
MADISON, WI – Custom Canines Service Dog Academy (CCSDA), a nonprofit organization that raises and trains service dogs, will be raising money and awareness at its upcoming Barktoberfest celebration.
With the help of Sprecher’s Restaurant & Pub and Erin’s Snug Irish Pub, 10 percent of ALL sales will be donated to Custom Canines Service Dog Academy.
The event is open to the public and will be held from 4-9 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Sprecher’s Restaurant and Pub on Madison’s west side (1262 John Q. Hammons Drive). Guests to the event can either go directly to Sprecher’s Restaurant, or purchase a VIP ticket for $10 and start their evening out at Erin’s Snug Irish Pub on Madison’s east side (4601 American Parkway, Madison) where they will enjoy special seating, light appetizers and a shuttle ride to and from Sprecher’s.
“We’re inviting anyone and everyone to our Barktoberfest event,” said Nicole Meadowcroft, president of CCSDA. “We’ll have live music, food, and drinks on the Sprecher patio, and raffle events, all of which will benefit our efforts to raise and train service dogs for those in need.”

About Custom Canines Service Dog Academy
CCSDA is a non-profit organization based in Madison, WI, which raises and trains service dogs. Dogs are then placed with families free of charge. Volunteer puppy raisers are the backbone of the organization; they take puppies into their homes and provide care, training and socialization for 12-15 months before the dogs are placed with their “forever families.” These families can receive autism service dogs, visual companion dogs, mobility assistance dogs and guide dogs
