Central City Credit Union: To open mortgage center on Monday – January 14

Central City Credit Union is opening up a new mortgage center at 216 E. Upham Street in Marshfield. The credit union’s mortgage center will be located next door to CCCU’s flagship branch in the aptly named Central City Plaza.

When the mortgage center doors open Monday – January 14th, it will be an exciting chapter in the methodical growth of the credit union. Central City Credit Union has grown its asset size 24% since 2008. Even with the housing burst of 2009, Central City Credit Union has doubled the number of mortgage closings during that same period. “We have great people to work with. Angie (Domine) and Sarah (Teresinski) walk the members though each step of the process, and explain anything the member wants to know more about. When you provide great service, word gets around.”

“The high volume of mortgage closings made it hard in the past for the staff keep up. At one point last summer we had a two-week wait for a mortgage appointment,” Korth said. “We knew we needed to expand, and the mortgage center idea came from our staff when we were talking about what we could do to make financing a home the greatest possible experience for the member.” Three months later the concept of a mortgage center became a reality.

To aid the booming mortgage business, CCCU’s Sarah Arnoldy received a promotion to Mortgage Officer from her former position of Consumer Loan officer in mid-November, and Angela Denk was also promoted to Mortgage Processor.

Central City Credit Union is a not-for-profit, financial institution with over 23,000 members serving Wood, Portage, Marathon, Clark, Adams, Shawano, Waupaca, and Waushara counties.
