Osten’s experience to bolster strong Boldt position in energy markets
The Boldt Company announces the addition of Mark Osten to its power and energy business development team as senior director of business development. Osten will draw on his extensive energy market experience while working with Boldt’s power and energy team to pursue strategic opportunities across all Boldt regions. Osten is based out of Boldt’s Madison, WI, office.
Boldt has developed a strong presence as a construction services provider for the power industry across many disciplines including gas generation, coal generation, environmental retrofits, hydroelectric, wind and biomass cogeneration, as well as power plant maintenance services. The addition of Osten to Boldt’s power and energy team will help the firm continue to grow its customer base and help its current and future clients reach their goals through innovative solutions and value-based project delivery.

Prior to his position at Boldt, Osten led business development efforts at RMT in Madison, WI, where he gained a broad experience in power and energy markets—particularly in renewables, including company building projects totaling almost 5,000 MW of renewable energy. Throughout his 30-year career, he has spent significant time in energy site development, project management, design-build, hydrogeological studies and energy exploration for projects across the U.S. at companies including RMT, Mirant Corporation, Warzyn, Inc. and Enserch Exploration.

Osten holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside and a master’s degree in geology from Kent State University. He is also a registered professional geologist and hydrologist in several states.
