Green Bay, WI – The Bay Area Humane Society held their annual Bark of the Bay event on Saturday, March 9th to raise money for their Special Care Fund and general operations. The event raised $56,000 through ticket sales, live and silent auctions, a Doggie Spa and general donations.

The Special Care Fund helps rehabilitate animals in our care with severe medical issues that we might not otherwise be able to treat. This fund is the most direct way for people to have an impact on the lives of individual pets that pass through the shelter. Very few of the animals that benefit from our Special Care Fund today would have been candidates for adoption three or four years ago.

Special thank you to our presenting sponsor MetJet, and to everyone else that contributed to the night’s success.

Additional donations are accepted at the Bay Area Humane Society located at 1830 Radisson St. in Green Bay or via their website www.bayareahumanesociety.com.
