Thomas Unke appointed to Wisconsin Bioenergy Council

Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is pleased to announce Thomas Unke, team leader of the energy and utilities practice, has been appointed to the Wisconsin Bioenergy Council. The Wisconsin Bioenergy Council advises the state’s Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection on practices for sustainable biomass and bioenergy production. Unke was selected because of his in-depth knowledge of the energy industry and specific renewable energy initiatives nationwide that can be applied throughout the state.

“I am proud to be selected to serve the state in this capacity in order to identify best management practices that push us to a more sustainable future,” says Unke. “I look forward to leveraging my knowledge of the energy landscape in Wisconsin as a valued member of the Bioenergy Council.”

Unke joined Baker Tilly in 1991 and has worked solely with energy and utility companies for more than 20 years. As part of the energy and utilities team, Unke leads the renewable energy development support team that works exclusively with renewable energy stakeholders throughout the state of Wisconsin and nationwide.
