MILWAUKEE – Assurant Health, a national provider of major medical, fixed-benefit and supplemental health insurance products, has promoted Michelle Pierce, 34, to vice president, managing attorney.
In her new role, Pierce will assume responsibility for all aspects of legal support of the organization’s health insurance products for individuals and small employers.
“Michelle has played an important role in providing legal support for the development of our Assurant Health Access SM fixed-benefit products,” said Jennifer Kopps-Wagner, senior vice president and general counsel. “Her expertise in health care reform will be invaluable as Assurant Health continues to develop affordable health insurance options for consumers.”
Pierce, who joined Assurant Health in 2003, received her juris doctor from Marquette University Law School and is an alumna of Illinois State University.
