Assurant Health: Earns health plan accreditation from URAC

Milwaukee, Wis., Oct. 17, 2013 – Assurant Health , a national provider of major medical, fixed-benefit and supplemental health insurance products, has earned Health Plan Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry.

“By applying for and receiving URAC Health Plan Accreditation, Assurant Health has demonstrated a commitment to quality health care, which is crucial to our nation’s welfare,” says Kylanne Green, URAC President and CEO. “It is important to have organizations that are willing to measure themselves against national standards.”

This is Assurant Health’s third accreditation from URAC. The company also holds Health Utilization Management and Disease Management accreditations.

· Patient experience of care (CAHPS Survey)
