Remodeled Madison Varsity location offers 24/7 access
MADISON, Wis. –Nov. 27, 2013 – Associated Bank, part of Associated Banc-Corp (NASDAQ: ASBC), announced today that its Madison Varsity location, will close on Saturday Nov. 30 and reopen as a new express branch format on Monday Dec. 2 in the same location.
Located at 640 University Ave., the new express branch design will allow customers to complete secure banking transactions 24/7. New features include: deposit automation ATMs, demonstration zones equipped with iPads and a full-size PC workstation. During peak times, knowledgeable colleagues will be able to assist customers with opening new accounts, and access self-service technology such as online and mobile banking.
“Customers continue to tell us about the importance of branches being available. The goal of our new express branch format is to save customers time and improve accessibility to the transaction services they use most often,” said Jimmy Kauffman, senior vice president and regional retail director, Associated Bank, “At our new branch, we will be able to provide customers fast, convenient 24/7 access.”
The branch will be staffed Monday through Friday 11a.m. to 5p.m., and Saturday 10a.m. to 1p.m. Express branch features will be available 24/7 for customers and an ATM will be located outside for both customers and non-customers.
“The express branch format is a relatively new concept and will likely be replicated in other select locations where it will help address a market need,” said David Stein, executive vice president and head of retail banking, Associated Bank.

The remodeled branch will not provide business banking services. Business banking services will continue to be available through Associated’s State Street location, which is less than one-half mile away, as well as other branch locations throughout the city.
