Due to unforeseen circumstances and logistical problems with the planning of the ARCA Midwest Tour presented by Lester Buildings and Scag Power Equipment Tomah 100 at Veterans Raceway Park on August 4th, the event has been canceled. Tomah Veterans Raceway Park has done an exceptional job in getting a track that was once closed, back on its feet for short track racing to continue around the Tomah area. The rebuilding process has been overwhelming and the projects that needed to be completed in order to hold a ARCAMT were delayed due to a very wet spring that set all construction back a few months. New pit stalls, entry roads, lights, and other items have been a challenge to get completed all while operating the race track on a weekly venue.

“We all have to look at this as a positive and not focus on the issues that delayed the possibility for this event. Short Track Racing has to survive and bringing a track back from the dead is a major undertaking and something all race fans should be happy about. They have done their best to provide a great facility for the Touring Stars of the ARCAMT and we all know that they will get the projects completed and take a run at things in 2014. It is in the best interest of both parties and the competitors to cancel the event and look towards the future at Veterans Raceway Park,” said series President Tim Olson. “We hope race fans will continue to support the track this year and see all of the great improvements going on all year long.”

We wish everyone at Veterans Raceway Park good luck as they continue to build the track back up and provide the fans of Central Wisconsin a great place to race.

Sincerely,

Tim Olson and Steve Einhaus
