MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce today announced the co-chairs of the organization’s Steering Committee – Cris Selin of Middleton and Leonard Sobczak of Milwaukee.

“We are excited to have Cris and Leonard’s leadership at the table as we work to grow the LGBT business community in Wisconsin,” says Jason Rae, executive director of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. “The insight that these two co-chairs will bring to the Steering Committee is a tremendous asset to the organization.”

The steering committee is guiding the organization’s strategic planning and outreach, ensuring that members of the LGBT business community are fully served with the resources they need to be successful.

Cris Selin currently works as a broker associate for Stark Company Realtors in Madison. She previously served as the director of the Division of Management Services at the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing under Governor Jim Doyle.

Leonard Sobczak is an active member of the LGBT business community. He is the President/Principal of Eastmore Real Estate and is the CEO/Principal of the Milwaukee-based Wisconsin Gazette. He previously has served on the board of the Cream City Business Association.

The newly formed organization is an organization of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and gay-allied businesses, professionals and individuals throughout the state of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce will offer networking opportunities, business development efforts within the LGBT community and educational programming to its members.
