The Channeled Resources Group is one of a select group of companies to earn the designation of “Green Master”, the highest tier in the Green Masters Program established by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. As a Green Master, The Channeled Resources Group has performed actions in each of the nine sustainability areas and has scored in the top twenty percent of all participating companies.

“We are proud to present The Channeled Resources Group this award as they are continuing meet one of the largest challenges in sustainability, recycling items that are traditionally thought of as ‘non-recyclable’” says Tom Eggert, Executive Director of the WI Sustainable Business Council.

An essential part of The Channeled Resources Group-Maratech business plan is protecting the environment. Their 2009 program to decrease water use was a success as they have maintained a 23% decrease in usage of this natural resource. Furthermore, the Channeled Resources Group-Maratech set a goal of being landfill free by the end of the 2011.

Applicants to the Green Masters Program are judged on a comprehensive range of sustainability issues, from energy to water use to educational outreach and governance. Over 90 Wisconsin businesses are participating in the program where the top twenty percent achieve the highest “Green Master” designation.
