Partner Bob Cedergren and Manager Jay Malmquist complete GRI Certified Sustainability Reporting course

Milwaukee, Wisconsin (November 29, 2012) — Wipfli LLP (Wipfli) announced that Wipfli Partner Bob Cedergren and Manager Jay Malmquist have completed the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Sustainability Reporting course.

GRI is a nonprofit organization that promotes economic, environmental and social responsibility. The organization produces a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework that is widely used around the world to enable greater organizational transparency. The framework, including the reporting guidelines, sets out the principles and indicators organizations can use to report their economic, environmental, and social performance. Wipfli utilizes the GRI framework in the firm’s sustainability reporting.

With over 20 years of experience, Cedergren is the leader of the firmwide risk advisory and forensic services practice and the sustainability services of Wipfli LLP. In this role, he oversees and coordinates the strategic direction of the firm’s risk advisory services and forensic services, develops or enhances existing services, and provides consulting services to clients in the area of risk management. He also works with businesses who are seeking sustainability for their business. Cedergren is also a frequent speaker and author on risk management-related topics including risk assessments, sustainability, business continuity planning, and managing internal controls.

As a manager in Wipfli LLP’s risk advisory and forensic services practice, Malmquist specializes in information technology (IT), information security and risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, and sustainability. With more than 20 years of experience, Malmquist advises clients on complex regulations and technical requirements in a manner that simplifies and tailors material for easy understanding.
