WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — The Wilderness Hotel & Golf recently named Tracy Fuller, marketing manager, the resort “Manager of the Year”, and Steve Krause, security, the resort “Employee of the Year”. Each will get to select a vacation and $1,000 as a thank you for a job well done.

The resort also named Clara Freiss, convention services assistant manager, “S.T.A.R.S. Customer Service Manager of the Year”, and Carol Babcock, loss prevention supervisor, “S.T.A.R.S. Customer Service Employee of the Year”.

Fuller, has been with the resort since 2007 and serving as marketing manager since 2009. She is responsible for overseeing the print, online and broadcast marketing efforts for the resort. She holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising from UW-Oshkosh. She resides with her family in Baraboo where she serves on the Missions committee at New Life Community Advent Christian Church; is vice president of the West Willson Parent Association; and committee chair for Baraboo Cub Scout Pack 393.

Krause was hired in July 2010 as a security officer, and promoted to security shift supervisor. In October 2011, Krause earned the title of Resort Manager because of his integrity and “Service Before Self” attitude. Krause attended Martin Luther College-New Ulm, MN and Western Tech College-La Crosse, WI. Prior to joining the Wilderness, he worked for Culligan Water Conditioning and was in the U.S. Army. He lives with his family in Oakdale, and is a Tomah High School Activities Board Member and an American Legion member.

Freiss, serves as convention services assistant manager and is responsible for reviewing all daily events and working closely with clients to fulfill their requirements during their meetings. She also works with set-up manager and kitchen staff to communicate any changes or additions, to each event. Prior to joining the Wilderness in 2000, she worked for Traex in Dane, Wisconsin in a variety of customer service roles. She attended UW-Whitewater and resides in Portage with her family.

Babcock, serves as loss prevention supervisor, and is responsible for providing customer service to guests about items that have been lost or found at the resort. She has been employed at the resort since 2007, and resides with her family in Pardeeville. A breast cancer survivor, in her spare time, Babcock has been responsible for helping to organize a cancer run/walk for the past 3 years in Pardeeville that has generated over $30,000 in donations.

The Wilderness Territory consists of over 600 wooded acres in Wisconsin Dells and is home to Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, which features 444 guest rooms, 40 vacation villas, 76 Frontier Condominiums and 35 cabins. It is also home to Wilderness on the Lake which features 108 luxurious two and three bedroom condominium units overlooking Lake Delton; and Glacier Canyon Lodge, which features 460 upscale condominium units.
