MADISON – The owners of Wilde Automotive and Jorge Hidalgo announce the Dec 6th 9:30 AM Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of their new automobile retail store “Wilde East Towne Honda.” The world class facility is located at the intersection of High Crossing Boulevard and Nelson Road, in close proximity to the East Towne Mall and adjacent to six other automobile dealers.

The east Madison property was formerly a quarry. This state-of-the-art facility provides a welcome change to the surrounding community. The new building has numerous features that enhance sustainability. The building footprint is almost 25,000 sq. ft. and built with vehicle service located on the lower level and the showroom on the upper level, thereby optimizing land usage.

Other sustainable features include:

* A 5000 sq. ft. green roof over the service reception drive. Customers can spend time in the customer lounge or walk up the stairway and relax on benches while enjoying a beautiful day outside. A kid’s play area next to the green roof provides a welcome change from the typical car dealership waiting lounge.

* Interior and exterior lighting systems promote low energy use, heat transmission and light pollution. The exterior LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting is very energy efficient. Interior lighting is a mix of conventional lighting and LEDs.

* EIFS (exterior insulated and finish system) wrapped around the structure to maximize energy efficiency and substantially cut power consumption.

The $10 million dealership is bringing up to 125 new jobs to the community, with 90 new positions already filled.

The new Honda dealership is a minority owned business. Jorge Hidalgo, a former Harley-Davidson executive, has teamed with Wilde Automotive Group to establish the dealership. Wilde is one of the premier names in the Wisconsin automotive retail business. It operates 12 dealerships located in Wisconsin and Florida. Wilde’s existing Honda stores are both American Honda President’s Award winners which identifies them as two of the best dealerships in the nation.

The new dealership will open for business on December 6, 2012. Service and parts department operating hours are 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Thursday 7 AM to 6 PM, Friday and 7 AM to 5 PM on Saturday. Sales department operating hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Wilde and Hidalgo are elated to bring to Madison its expertise in world class service and demonstrated volume efficiency that has greatly benefited our customers.
