MADISON, August 1, 2012 – Eight entrepreneurial businesses have been certified for Qualified New Business Venture (QNBV) tax credits by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to help them seek new investment. Those businesses receiving certification include:
• SpeechTails, Inc., Elm Grove
• Whole Trees®, LLC, Stoddard
• Alithias, Inc., Whitefish Bay
• FlatSix, LLC, Milwaukee
• NitricGen, Inc., Middleton
• Hopster, Inc., Middleton
• Outdoor InSite, LLC, Madison
• InControl Medical, LLC, Milwaukee
The QNBV status makes investors in the company eligible for a 25 percent tax credit on the amount they invest in the business. The WEDC said the QNBV program and the incentives for investment in these companies will accelerate their potential for growth and job creation in Wisconsin.
