MILWAUKEE – (March 1, 2012) — Thomasville Home Furnishings of Brookfield, one of the country’s top performing high-end Thomasville furniture stores, will re-open as Warren Barnett Interiors in mid-April at its current location of 14755 W. Capitol Drive in Brookfield. The new store will re-open with all new merchandise and more than double the number of furniture lines.

Starting Friday March 2, the store will begin selling its current stock to the public at drastically reduced prices to make room for the new inventory. During this time, the store will be remodeled with new carpeting, paint and signage, and include a refurbished idea center with a variety of new fabric samples.

With more than 15,000 square feet, the new Warren Barnett Interiors store will carry a larger inventory of high-end furniture and accessories than other furniture stores in metro Milwaukee and Wisconsin. It will be the first and only store in the area to carry collections of some of the finest furnishings available from Henredon Furniture, Century Furniture, Lillian August and Hickory White. The store will also continue to offer the Thomasville, Drexel Heritage and John Richard furniture and accessory lines.

The following new collections will be available at the new store starting approximately mid-April:

Henredon Furniture, headquartered in High Point, North Carolina, carries hundreds of wood and upholstery designs containing hand and detail work for every room.

Century Furniture, based in Hickory, North Carolina, has a vast collection of finely crafted luxury furniture with impeccable design and quality, including bedroom, dining room, home entertainment, leisure, indoor and outdoor, living room and office furniture.

Lillian August Furnishings and Design’s signature upholstery and casegoods are designed for the distinguished collector of fine furniture. With its flagship store in Norwalk, Connecticut, the Lillian August brand has become synonymous with unique home furnishings and design accessories, including seating, beds, tables, cabinets, accessories, lighting, one-of-a-kind and antiques, rugs, and outdoor furniture.

Hickory White’s hand-tailored wood and upholstery furniture is hand-crafted by cabinet makers skilled in the art of joinery, and customized with multi-step hand-rubbed, distressed, padded or striped finishes.

“We’ve always provided customers with everything from a single lamp to interior design services, furnishings and accessories for their entire house,” said Michael Bachman, president. “Now, we’ll offer a significantly expanded selection of higher-end furniture and fine accessories.”

The Warren Barnett Interiors name combines both middle names of each owner, Michael (Warren) and Barb (Barnett) Bachman. Together, they bring an extensive background in the furniture industry and unique creative interior design capabilities. A Milwaukee native, Michael Bachman started his career in the furniture industry right out of college in 1982 working for his father who opened what was once known as The Carriage House in Milwaukee. Barb brings a wealth of knowledge in interior design and hand-picks the one-of-a-kind and antique accessories from all over the world, as well as hand-knotted oriental rugs.

The free in-home design service from the company’s award-winning interior designers will continue under the Warren Barnett Interiors name, as well as the ownership and service team.

Together, the Bachmans have built their team of twenty employees, including nine interior designers, over several years. In addition, their daughter, Emily Bachman, is joining the family business as a member of the staff to help bring the new furniture lines to the store.

“Our vision is to fill the void in the regional high-end furniture market by re-opening as a showroom displaying a vast array of brands and on-trend looks,” said Michael Bachman.

The store has historically been one of the best performing Thomasville furniture stores in the country, offering professional interior design, distinctive upholstery items and antique accessories. Many furniture stores greatly reduced the variety of furniture they offered during the recent difficult economy, while Thomasville of Brookfield added Drexel Heritage furniture and John Richard, a high-end accessory line.

Thomasville Home Furnishings of Brookfield has been family-owned and operated for twelve years, since the Bachmans opened it in 2000. The Bachmans decided to reinvent and rebrand the store to better meet client demand for unique, high-end furnishings and to differentiate from other local furniture stores.

The store is open seven days a week: Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
