Coaches, participants to share stories, advice from financial challenge

MADISON, Wis. — In just five months, with the help of Summit Credit Union Project Money coaches, the four participating teams have increased their savings by $23,000 and decreased their debt by $32,000, collectively.

On Tues., Nov. 27, the community will have a chance to hear how they did it at Summit Credit Union’s second-annual Project Money workshop entitled, “The Coaches Advice.”

As the name suggests, Project Money financial coaches will be sharing goal development and debt-reduction insights and advice from this year’s reality-based competition at the workshop.

As part of the community-learning experience, attendees will gain specific tips to implement in their own finances to increase savings and reduce debt. In addition, Project Money participants will also be sharing their stories and the strategies they’ve learned to work toward achieving their financial goals.

Free and open to the public, the workshop will be held at the Bonfyre American Grill, located at 2601 W. Beltline Hwy. Attendees will be treated to complimentary hors d’eouvres and beverages beginning at 5:30 p.m., with the program kicking off at 6 p.m.

At the workshop’s conclusion, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, connect with their own financial coach, as well as sign up for a complimentary one-on-one coaching session that includes a review of their credit report and current financial picture.
